As I am off in scotland next 3 days do you want the bits left in the porch to pick up when you are passing?
PS dont take the engine mounting bolt tool that is sat waiting for Joe Kozzi to collect
Thanks al but wait till you get back and I will pop over and have a cuppa :-)

would it fit in a smaller box and reduce postage costs if you smashed it into smaller bits with a hemmer?

Tbh it's the cleanest engine I've seen the inside off it looks new !.
And it still has the homing marks on both front and rear pots .
So when I get it fully stripped down i will get them measured and if they are better than the other engine i will rebuild it .
It's being a bit of a learning curve as I having dug this deep into an engine for years 15 ish :-( . It's all good practice
Oh and it looks like it was the rear Cylinder that was burning oil as the carbon on the piston crown was unreal and wet !
The front piston crown was almost clean but the valves have a lot of carbon build up on them almost like the front head was off a different engine with higher mileage .
It's making for a good donna lump for the sized engine I have and I'm sure I can make a good one out the two .
interesting thought that i never thought that my self that the replacement engine might have had a CCT failure or somthing else swapped for what ever reason in its past life
The rear was jetted the same as the front except had a bit more on the pilot screw, would have expected it to have less carbon than the front my self
Did it come out the frame okay?
Glad it can been of help mate, can you take strip down pics and post as you go along would love to see all the gubbins

Is this something that Virt should be made aware of

Is it Honing or piston ring marks
And no I am not a tool.

I am a member of the Borg and you all will be assimilated.

It came out the frame too easy !! Who put it in ?
I'm having trouble uploading pics at the min but I will start taking pics . I have been cleaning and I've been going to .
The engine as it stands as of now has no covers on and no heads .
I need to get the basket of before more can be removed so next week :-)

I had it out in about 2 mins
I gave the frame a quick wash and started capping threads off for when it gets powder coated (satin black) .
I will have to have a tidy up tomorrow as ck is coming around Monday to get some more work done on his and its a right mess in there !
Is you day happier now he has some space back Seb ?
