Thanks wicky i was tring to load them like that. I haven't got any bars so i can't comment on clearance but my front end is from a rrx, thinking of a single rad though cbr600? and single seat looking at doing an under brace swinging arm i've got the rest of the cbr900 arm i took the brace off to have a play with.

i got a single seat race unit as part of my race fairings, when it's painted (next month) i'll post some pictures mate.
i just bought a pair of ducati headlights for the endurance style look i'm going for. i think the rrx forks are longer than thr 954 ones that i've got so you shouldn't have any clearance issues, i was thinking of a single exit exhaust coming out under the seat unit.......hmmmm
but then i bought the titanium zorsts instead, the other thing i was thinking was to look at different swingarms, maybe a cbr600rr but i would have to have a measure up to see if it would work, good luck with it mate......

Well yesterday I decided to give my bike a clean (got a week off work for my birthday!!!)
Only problem was after a couple of mins of messing about with the wheels trying to clean the polished edge of the rim I decided it was about time that I took them off for powder coating...
You can also see in the first pic that I've taken the front mudguard and tank off. I scratched the mudguard when installing so that's getting a fresh spray and my mate who did the spraying wasn't happy with the job on the tank so he wanted to re-do that too. Should be getting my belly pan done at the same time so will be looking a bit different the next time I put up some pics.

been busy!
fitted tony's throttle tube mod to the already quick action rc45 tube....
fitted new plugs - forgot how much a bitch the front one is to get at lol.... it was nackered as well, the gap was about 2mm and the iridium tip was like a needle point, eroded away.
was a bit darker than the rear plug as well, which wasnt half as worn.
cleaned the air filter - full of flies, probably due to having no snorkel and hoovering insects up over the last few months. can see through it again now!
went back to .48 pilots from .50 to try and get rid of misfire off idle (may have been the plugs & filter tbh) but also to try & improve the appalling uneconomy ive been getting lately
reset the cct's at last - been meaning to do this for a while but been to busy working & riding it.
changed the fuel line from the tank & fitted a quick release coupling from work - which reminds me - i think i forgot to put the breathers back on!
btw - @mik_str - the positioning of them vac relief valves

(Not today but) I swapped the sprockets. Gone for 15f 44r and wombles me the front end is lively!!
Absolutely love the hooliganism of it ;)
Will post a pic of how its looking in my thread as its pretty much done (for this season) apart from the fork and caliper paint.

i knew my brake pads were ready for doing but after a spirited ride yesterday round taffyland there was so much heat that the fluid was boiling and locking the brakes on. not a nice feeling lol.
result was having to chase a pimped superduke going into hairpins without braking
i knew i had a new set in the garage but couldnt find them so spent half the day looking then went shopping.
finally got some ebc hh pads from bike devil in wreham.... good price too
was surprised when i took them out - there was still a bit of meat left on them but they were proper blued!
the friction material also acts as heat insulation so the more it wears the more heat is transferred to the piston, fluid etc and can degrade the fluid and damage the seals.
i'll bed them in tomorrow and let you know how they perform,
should be a load better now anyway as only 1 piston was moving on the front left and only 3 on the right

how low can yer go!

Wait 'til you get those high compression pistons fitted, you won't need brakes.
Mine got a new Kevlar clutch set fitted yesterday, and uprated clutch springs.
Doesn't slip now, but still locks up when slipped......
Ah, well, I'll just have to ride round it.

Yesterday, I was busy.
I stripped the head off another member's bike; yes front head with two bent ex valves, no biggie, he'll ride it home Sat eve.
Valve clearances? about a quarter of an inch....might need smaller shims....
I also cleaned up and polished (although not to a very high polish) the braced swing arm, and lacquered it.
And prepped and primered a spare tail plastic piece with (rare animal indeed) all the lugs intact.
And cleaned and lacquered the Blade brake mounting plate.
And cleaned and painted with heatproof paint a spare Blade rear caliper.
And top coated a spare subframe, to be lacquered today.
And cleaned up and primered my bellypan, ready for a respray today.
Pics would be up, but I haven't brought home the connecting lead fro my mobile camera, so that'll wait until Monday.
Today I'll get everything fitted, brakes in and bled, swingarm bobbins drilled and tapped, shark's fin fitted, and complete the back end swap but the tail plastic and bellypan can go on Sat AM when the lacquer's dry.
Ready for Thunderbikes at Brands Hatch on Sunday, one way or another.

I will pick those cct's up from you Sunday if that's good for you. Be at yours around 9.30 ish for more catch up, and underhand dead cct trading.
