Now that's a better effort, well done deformed of Grain. Still it's a long time since you left your teenage insecurities behind! Poor Virt, worrying how to suck. Bless.

Blue rinse is the common link.
Blue is always the colour of choice for hair of the elderly. Another year or two and I may consider having the beard dipped.

I would have thought Carbon fibre dip would have been more your style Tony
Chris.

Well I've tried various ways of getting clearance between my high level cans and the swingarm brace and there's only so much manipulation of the exhaust system you can do with spacers etc.
So looks like I'm going to have to ditch my gorgeous swingarm and start again with another swingarm.
I really wanted a brace, so "project fit a brace underneath" is going to be the only way round it. (Need a catchier title!)

Jamie, I know a couple of guys have the can straps mounted off of the rear subframe. Would that give you enough?

I'll save you the trouble, ill have the exhaust system off you if I can get the clearance with my SSSA

I might make up some new hangers, had a little play with various positions today.
I'll report back!

Hmm, you'll have to fight the others in the queue!

It's a b it of a mare, the LH pipe fouled under full compression and pulls the link pipe off the system- is that what you found?
If you use high level pipes the links can be spaced out more by cutting clearance into the rear pillion hangers.
Then pull the cans out slightly form teh tail- it's not noticeable- but that gives you a better angle to clear the SA.
Don't give up quite yet...

Thanks Tony, it's the very lowest part of the can which kisses the top of the brace when the shock is softened right down and compressed by myself jumping up and down on the rear.
Hopefully a pic will do a better job of explaning than I
If I can get new hangers made up, I can pull the cans up without stressing the headers giving me 55mm at full extension, which I think might be enough to stop any contact.
I've tried spacing the hangers out from the subframe but, it throws the angle of the cans outwards at the rear.

Are the cans round or oval on that system Jamie?
