i had a bit of movement on my project today, i took my bike via the back of a london taxi from a friends workshop to my mechanics back garden. took the wheels off and it just about fitted.
the plastics are off to a sprayer tomorrow, so fingers crossed it will be done some time next week :D
i might have a go at carbon wrapping the fairing lowers myself after spraying them black, time is at a premium tho between work and family visiting from spain, things are going to be very tight, but its exciting nevertheless....

Well done Marty, I'd say you've done a pretty good job there  knowing how difficult that stuff can be to fit onto a non-flat surface and remove all air bubbles.

because of issues with the sprayer painting my fairings, the new paint has reacted to certain fairings......grrrrr
which means my fairing won't be finished in time for my mechanic to finish off the bike before he goes of holiday this thursday....grrrrr
so plan b has been put into effect at 9pm tonight, i've painted my spare rear fairing and undertray matt black
so heres what bodywork will be going on.
i''ve collected a full set of spare fairings, in different state of repair.
the bike will have blue side fairings(one of them has a bit of damage), matt black rear seat unit and undertray, it will soon have matt black lowers.
not sure weither to matt black my spare 16ltr tank or not, the headlight surround will either be carbon wrap or blue, i have a couple of these spare, lucky me
i also painted my spare rear caliper blue to match the front, i've still got to laquer it tho, and while i was tinkering tonight i thought i'd redo the side infil panels in carbon wrap after painting them in matt black.
well i better get to bed i've got to sort all this out tomorrow.
heres a few pics

By the time you have finished you should be a master at that vinal wrapping there BSM.
Looking good.

I would think a carbon wrapped frame and fairings would look pretty cool.

whats the roadblock? your outstanding claim or the mods?

will be a shame if the project cant leave the shed, it needs to be ridden.........you still havent been able to hear the intake noise the billet stacks make when you give it full throttle for an overtake.......its addictive :D

insurance was sorted today al. i'm a bit pissed off because the bike needs another week or so of cleaning and bits being put on it but my mechanic goes on holiday tomorrow, so right now its looking like a right bodge job, just to get it thru its mot, which should be on friday, macs lending me some front indi's and now the sidelights not working.....grrrrrr
still it will be in my garden tonight and i'll be tinkering over the next week or so, the freshly painted fairings will be finished by the middle of next week, and by then i should have recieved a pack of s/s nuts and bolts to use.
i've also got to sort out another battery tomorrow, it never rains it pours......
it will look rough but i'm determined to get it to the workshop day next month.....
