Ive seen that mod suggested on a number of sites but not really considered it as there's a lot of baldrocks posted these days and everything is the best since sliced bread
Have you found any difference in how the car runs? Is it really worth trying?
I've plenty of tin plate in the garage and could cut a blanking plate up in five minutes but I didn't know if there would be any ill effects.

No better no worse Pete but it's one less thing to give trouble! The worse you'd get is engine management light on and car in limp mode which is easily cancelled by code reader. Newer the car more chance of management light on and will vary dependent on vehicle. Worth a try imo

Got in from work at 12:00 last night got changed and locked myself in the garage (still not welcome in the house ) so I made a start on the rebuild .
So far as it is now the engine is in so is the loom and sub frames and rear end and the carbs and cooling system well I only need to fit the front end and it'll be nearly done  .

Only had 3 hours sleep slumped up against the garage wall :-( and I do need to get the tube lights fitted in there as the one little light ain't that great when working on a mainly black bike .

The plan today is to go over it all and get it into a roller so I can get it out and have a tidy up as it's looking like step toes yard at the minute .

No pics as I couldn't be bothered last night and the light was poo

Got my petrol cap on so all the locks match now. Petrol tap and fuel sender back in/on tank. Bought six spoke front off TonyMon, to go with the six spoke rear I got off Fleabay. Manuals arrived from Bazza, hoping Steve can give me a hand when the time comes.
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!
