Thanks :) Bit more pricey than golf tee's or bolts, but they do look nice!

I think you normally get a short grace period? I got a letter through when my tax almost ran out and it said something about 14 days. I'll see if I can find it

Can't find it unfortunately Seb. There was definitely a 2 week period to sorn/tax it again though, as long as you didn't ride it. because I was thinking of just waiting until my birthday and taxing the VTR without declaring it SORN for like 10 days. I did SORN it in the end but meh

They sent me one at the end of last month Carl, they still do them. Everyone in my family gets them, got one for the Hornet at the same time too

Good reminder, mine needs to be Sorned today. No, just checked, the wife's already done it. Damn these organised people! How am I ever going to develop a working memory?

The main offence is using it on a public road, so don't get caught, or ride past cameras.
I'd suggest sending them an email on the contact page of the dvla site and keeping a copy as evidence, then doing it Monday.

It's just occurred to me, got to Sorn mine today, wonder if the wife's done it?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Attempted to fit the powdercoated frame.. snapped the first bolt!

Removed carbs, fitted annoying plastic tray, refitted carbs.

Removed sprocket cover and chain, used swarfega degreaser with a brush on all the chainlube/oil covered areas and wiped off with an pair of pants... Image

Cut an old container in half and filled with grease remover, split the chain using my (now found) link tool and gave the chain a good bath!

Started to polish the mori down pipes... That's a job and a half :(

Tidied the bodge-shop up

Rode about 100 miles , then popped into Dock gate 20 HARLEY Garage and had a sit on a rather cool, low slung, foot forward thingy!!!, had a blast up the M271 with the owner, it did go well until we hit the roundabout, didnt see him after that but fook it was noisy, with the 2 of us blatting up the motorway with the exhausts at full chat the cars were certainly getting out of the way. Went to chichester then home after that, great ride and still loving the top yoke mod, i feel another austria trip will beckon in 2014!!! Bike done 8000 miles this past 12 months so overall loving it. :biggrin
