changed the oil and filter, set the shift light to blink
took the fairings off to find this salt attack
Bike was totally mint inside and out,
Used the bike for one week with salt on the roads,
Bike was washed and dried after every ride,
The other side of which i have no pics was worse than this
Took hours to put this right,
A few month ago this all looked like new!

Chopped lockstops off my Blade lower yoke, should have done it BEFORE fitting the taper roller's really....
Made some brackets to move rads back 30mm, to clear the new forks, stripped out the carbs and all hoses, and now I can play with a fibreglass mould for the carbon airbox.
And discovered that I don't have a spanner large enough to undo the Blade fork tops. Also that I don't yet know how to remove the cast foot section from the stanchion on the USD forks.
Any clues?
TBH, until I buy a 32mm spanner I can't undo it anyway....

Had my TPS set and carbs balanced by the latest bromance of CK and Lloydie, fitted some nice new cans with their help and discovered my brake discs are warped
Thanks you two for the help and time

It's not the renegades I'm afraid, it's currently just completely debaffled standards

Surprisingly the popping is quite easy to control, so I am curious over whether the renegades could be fitted with the PAIR still installed... But I can't be arsed to remove and fit new exhausts

I'll fit them when pair is removed, hopefully next month

Seb - Look at getting a different better finished bike for workaday usage surely must be cheaper to do than the depreciation / costs of replacing corroded bits. I had a GPz600 as a winter bike a decade ago and it only took one salty winter to corrode all the ali. In the spring I went to spanner it and ali parts just disintegrated to oxidised dust

That's ok virt. Any time

Sorry I had to be the one to break the bad news
Hopefully the bike will feel a lot better when the pair system and restrictors are removed.

Bought new brake pads and brake discs. wombles me I'm broke
It's okay CK, someone had to brake ( ba boom tish ) the news and I knew there was something wrong with them, just a bit shitter than expected. But oh well, I don't know what the current brake pads condition is and what type they are. At least now I get to go with the pads I used on the Hornet twice, they were good. Stoppies with 2 fingers, many of which very unintentional. Silver linings, eh?
Yeah, let's wait a month and see
