Your storm is looking good there Jamie

Today I went out on the trials bike for the 1st round to the amca winter championship. Had to go out to middle of Shropshire in the pissing rain, but the day got brighter and the course was great.... But I was a bit rusty

Well it was actually yesterday but I actually took her out for a quick ride......
It has been rather nice here with an average temp of about 24c

It was only a quick 20 mi round trip to pick up meds at the Hospital but it was fun  even though it kicked my butt and I needed a nap when I got home.....

Though it was the first ride since my rash of mods.
I still need to do some tweaking with the adjustments but I am pretty happy with the results so far.
The double bubble makes a nice pocket and is a big improvement over the stock screen for my height.

Massive brakes once again...... Sure it's just a SP2 system, nothing radial but with the larger rotors I am more than happy with their performance.

I need to tweak the adjustments on the rear-sets a bit but so far they seem to be working well.

The Akra system is also working well, It has a bit deeper tone than the Leos and the bottom end is either a touch rich or the larger I.D. head-pipe has lost a touch of bottom end or at least she doesn't run quite as smooth but other than that the jetting is very close and the new flo-commander will let me get it dialed in again rather painlessly.

So all in all it was a good day.......

Removed chav tastic pillion pegs tho it took 4,5 hours :-( both the main pins were seized solid so a lot of heat and bashing with a hammer and they were removed .
Then dug out 2 sets of cct for bazza and tried to find the matching front chav pegs but I think they got binned

cleaned the BMC air filter and its now drying waiting to oil in in a few days time.

replaced the front CCT as I was getting a noise at idle, used one from CKennedy and swapped the stopper over…..but the reason it was rattling looks like the stopper was vibrating inside the CCT …. lots of wear on one end of stopper and it there was a full 1 turn rather than the 1/2 turn i built it with

I use hollow 8mm aluminium bar, and it looks like the inner diameter is big enough to start a conical wear pattern when rubbing against the spigot at the mechanism end of the CCT. will replace it with solid 8mm steel bar to prevent this.

Virt, if you start to hear a rattle at idle, it will be the stopper moving about, so bring it round and I will put steel bar in for you.

then I removed the return throttle cable and removed all the lash.

then I went to the pub

Filling me with confidence that

don't worry, even with 1 turn before the stopper works it will protect the engine, so don't get concerned.

I use the same bar stock on my last engine and they never wore, so there is something about this engine I think

Fair enough, sounds odd that then

Hopefully it's just an anomaly within your bike
