First of all a pic from yesterdays hard work
And today I thought I would make a start on a job if put off for toooooooooooo long.......
My exhausts. Needless to say aluminum does not like road salt and grim so the were looking a bit worse for wear. After 3 hours with wet and dry (240 and 320) some autosol and belgom ALU the first exhaust has come up quite well and I am rather happy

also did one of the pillion pegs and both straps for the exhaust.

We're easing him in gently :-).
Today I fitted the HRC coolant reserve tank :-)

Of course you are...
I gave it a wash after getting back yesterday as the condition was appalling (my garage leaks badly so cleaning it never lasted long

). Just got back from going to a mates though and massacring it in WD40 and ACF50. Looks amazing now and hopefully that's added a bit more protection against the piece of sh1t garage.

Very nice mate tho you need to get creative when mounting it as it has no brackets .

Fitted HRC sticker to tank. Havn't had it on dyno yet but bike feels quicker !

I reckon that's given you at least 10bhp! Is your Storm Brown?

Fortunately not! Rubbish lighting in car park. A brown storm might possibly be even worse than a yellow storm

Hehe that's fortunate then!

Well I got out and made a start on sorting out my rear calliper/pads. Had a bit of an issue with getting one of my chain adjusters undone. One had seized and needed butchering with mole grips and heat to remove

Not sure why that happened as I put plenty of copper slip on last time I had them off. Why are the chain adjusters so sh1t on this bike. They could have at least given us a bigger bolt head instead of a measley 8mm.
Sanded with Dremmel my brake disc as it was showing a slight lip at the edges where contact from worn pads was made.

Cleaned calliper and that is now ready for new pads. Given up for the day now as I was getting shivery cold and my back was starting to go. Yeh could have put more clothes on but that restricts movement and I don't like that. The fun of working outdoors!!
Still got to clean up rusty disc bolts and put the disc back on the wheel. I may as well give the wheel a good clean and re-grease while it's off. Can't be arsed cleaning the sprocket carrier or sprocket. I've also got to investigate the pressure switch and see why that's not working.
Winter is miserable!!!!! I wish we as humans could hibernate like other animals on the planet and give Winter a miss.
