Was saying there checking bikes docs ins tax etc now weather is getting better with bikes coming out of hibernation be aware.

That's what they are for :-) the state my got in last year commuting every day was unrecognisable !

Actually got in the first ride where things din't hurt and I was able to twist the throttle with a bit of anger.....lol

After a 1\2 turn on the flo commander she is running excellent and it was a fine day to be out and about

They can cause major problems at Ahem! Illegal speeds.
Firstly they can unbalance the wheel but more frieghteningly, they tend to bend and flex up and down as your speed increases and decreases. This can prematurely stress the valve stem and cause it to leak or ,worse case scenario , cause a blow out. I,d rather keep the valve stem standard and bend my pump head to fit

I've been reading up on this subject, and you're right Pete, even metal valve caps can put unnecessary weight on the valve stem at high speeds, I'll be giving them a miss....

good to know as i was thinking about getting some fitted on the next tyre change

it is a bitch tho getting behind those big 330mm discs had a digital type pressure gauge that was nightmare to get a good seal on due to the size of them restricting movement

Hopefully the pattern of the Armstrong wavy discs will make it a little easier for me....

i was going to get wavy discs again but after reading into it its all for show not go, hence you don't see them on any of the proper race bikes there's a reason why they stick to a full discs as it gives consistent solid braking feel, i believe the wavy are able to clean the disc pads more effective but that's the only benefit they offer reading about them
