Stuck on some stompgrip and exhaust protectors. Awaiting some sightly more interesting bits and bobs...

All I need now are the new rings, and a fine hone.
Anyone got a fine home I can use as a glaze buster?
And a few big end bolts, but they're only a couple of pounds each, and a head gasket, and , and, and.....
Tony make sure you fit them the right way round this time :-) !!

Marked F or R due to 0.5mm Gudgeon pin offset apparently. That's standard pistons but I expect there's something similar with the JE's.

I'd be interested in knowing what exhaust protection you have. Is the metalwork heel plate protection or R&G can protectors.

I got the R&G oval exhaust protectors that sort of cup at the join to the link pipe. They look a bit clipped on, which they are, but hey hopefully they'll save me the potential damage. They could be a better fit if I trimmed down the front rubbers so I might do that at some point, make 'em blend in a bit more.
I'll put some pics up once the other bits arrive next week.

That will be nice

Those R&G protectors may not look the prettiest but they serve a purpose and do work.

doesn't the quick throttle depend on your wrist fitness???

Nope, no markings at all.
And yes, I'll try them the right way round this time, just for the hell of it.
Boring, but might last longer, although two years plus when they were in the wrong way round merely indicates I wasn't trying hard enough
Time to up the rev limiter....

my throttle only goes from say 12-3 o'clock and it'd fully open is that the norm? i.e. a quarter of a turn and its flat out?

About that, but then it will vary quite a bit with the amount of slack in the throttle cables.
