What you think, fit it or forget it?
I would be concerned about the pad surface area and looking at it I would say the cut out's should not be so large, but because of this I expect it wont heat up so much and possibly warp. But as you don't use it this don't matter so much and it has the looks. I like the ring of drill holes around the inside. Not seen anything like that before,

Unfortunately not, less metal equals much faster heat up and higher temp, combined with thinner metal warping much more easily, I can see this working well for 3 minutes until it has eaten all the brake pad away and then it will be metal on warped metal.

Sorry, it looks cool, but I don't think it will work.

EBC has issues where the edge of standard holes on there discs was a bit sharp, and they ate pads from new in about 30 miles. I think this will do the same but much worse.

Understand about the material, heat, pad abrasion etc but as I mentioned twice before I don't really use the brake unless I need to and on most rides not at all. It's for looks only.. It was never really meant to work ultra efficiently.

Ok, that's fair enough, but it will still need to go through an mot and if it warps it wont, plus however little you use it, if the pads go back to metal, you will get fed up of buying replacements. Give it a go and see what happens.

You do know you are meant to use your back brake though don't you? All the fast people do!

Only when I run a bit too wide which is rare as I'm not the quickest out there to be going that fast... and not too bothered about being the quickest either. The front ones do me just fine as the back one had never been that much use anyway on this bike from as long as I remember.

Just didn't want to turn this into a technical discussion about it as it will be just decoration for me.. I'll probably give it a go anyway.

Mark, it looks great and I can hardly believe that it's originally a standard disc!

Once again, a marvellous bit of machining, I'd use it

Or If I Recall Correctly. IIRC that's pretty much the same thing though. How about MILF or .......... LOL Maybe one of the youngsters can start a thread on abbreviations so we all know what's available, and what it means.

I wish you wouldn't call yourself thick all the time. It makes the rest of sound like smart arses.

Took the bike for a spin and back end slipped out a bit while leaned over into a couple of bends and giving it too much throttle. Got to love the flywheel. :biggrin

That's been happening to me a lot this year too :confused

I think it's the bike which is inspiring the confidence to give it some welly while cranked over... and cold tyres!
