you'll never live down the shame if you have to attend with a standard rear shock...
had a visit from the cyberman today, we tinkered with the carbs, fitted the carb balancing pipes, I forgot the t-piece and had to pop to Halfords. I also gave it a nice polish and fitted my new decal...
set the tps, adjusted the mixture, torqued up a few bits, yesterday I fitted a new yoke cover and tank pad.
i'm going to need to sort out the starter motor as its making a strange noise on start up, i'll probably swap the one from the other engine for now. I also need to get the front wheel balanced...
looking good for a shake down ride this weekend...

cheers lloydie, not sure about the grab rail tho, it makes life a lot easier when moving the bike around, but it spoils the look for me. I've also got some stomp grips to put on, but again i'm not sure about them...

P.s If you wear leather trousers the tank/stomp grips are great. If you wear loose textiles, there's no benefit.

? I disagree there Jamie....... even if I am wearing jeans I use the stomp grip when braking to take the weight off my arms. only downside I have found is the marks on my inner thighs when I brought a wheelie down a bit to heavily. I gripped the tank between my thighs to prevent the ball / tank impact, but fecking hell sliding your legs along stompgrip under high loads is not fun [but still preferable to the flat ball dented tank option]

Ouch!
Just my opinion from wearing my textile trousers, the trousers have a silky inner lining [ ] which gives me around 4" of sliding around inside my trousers [ once again.. ] before there's enough resistance to stay put against the tank grip.
I'd imagine wearing jeans would be fine* though, as they are much tighter once sat down and legs up on the pegs.
*fine apart from the digging in of the bobbles!

Yes the rebound !
I had it on 4 feels great but 5 miles into a ride and it's solid , it won't return it it returns very slowly even on the softest setting .
So something is very wrong with it and my money (literally ) is on the damper adjuster failing .
But as it had a full service only last summer any defects should of been noticed and fixed .
So it's off back to them tomorrow for them (Mct) to put it right .
Mac v2 has kindly sold me ( very cheap ) a good standard shock and posted it next day delivery and should be here tomorrow so I can fit it to the bike so I can still use it .
Thanks again mac your a legend
