the forums are always dead this time of year? is everyone a fair weather rider?

seasonal exhaustion m8...that and i'm still pissed.....! also there is thick snow up here in thar hills .. and a i guess a little..S.A.D. in the mix...It's just that time of year....

I'm still here. No garage to take my bike to bits and its not that cold so still going out on the bike.

I am on here quite often but would rather be putting some miles in on the bike. I am not into riding with 50-60 mph winds and 4 degree temp

Funny that, I thought it was the other way around Toby

In the summer (if it's a good one) riders are out riding and not on the pc so much

In the winter (the majority) we prefer the warmer indoors, thats when we get on the pc

Perhaps I've got it the wrong way around

I like laying out in my garden too, but only when it is hot!

When I first got back into biking I would be out at every opportunity, but the "pleasures" of putting on so many clothes you can't feel the bike and riding on muddy salty roads doesn't have the same attraction anymore.

I bike all year round. Currently using my recently purchased XT 125 R, great fun I must say. Although, this morning top of my road was like a skating rink with ice. Slithered all the way to the bottom and then joined main road which was best described as minging and probably just as slippy!
What do they spread on the roads these days?

I use to think the same that was until I came off on black ice at a roundabout, after leaving the house for work some years ago. I was only on a DT50 (a smaller version of the XT125 R) but it was that slippery I couldn't stand up, let alone pick the bike up Luckily no car were about and I didn't break any bones

125s are for poofs, try a Gixxer thou in the ice and snow! Only did it once mind and never again, ever. Ever. EVER! Ride all year round like you. The only thing that bothers me is binning my pride and joy.

That's why i bought a 125, so i would not bin my pride and joys. Having ridden for years through the winter on the VFR and the VTR I realised not only was i crapping myself at dropping them but i was also ruining their re-sale value.
Cars are still for poofs though!!!!! (Until of course my wife needs to pick me up from the pub......ahhh toasty!!)

I'm still hanging around, not out on the bike much as i am too broke to afford petrol i miss it soooooooo much.
At least this means i'll not crash on ice this year lol
done it on 3 bikes now..one dead zzr600, TRX850 and suzuki scooter lol

I too like wet leather, but maybe I've gone off at a slight tangent?
