today my brother paid a deposit on my dads funeral with his credit card.
when he got home he checked online and they'd taken the money as agreed,unfortunatly the name of the place was just this>TRADITIONAL FAMILY FUN.


obviously the fun part ment funeral but this must be a greatest balls up on there part!

Gees! I know the timing's a shocker, but I also know you'd get at least a weeny smile out of that, Tony. At least a head-shake, anyway.

I'm guessing the name was just truncated to fit on the screen, surely nobody is that stupid.

Mind you, we went to a funeral place a few years ago, to bury my uncle, who had a plaque on the wall proudly proclaiming "Investors In People". Had to try hard not to laugh out loud.

It's usually the banks that shorten the account names. I would tell them they probably don't know. Hope it didn't cause you too much upset, you don't need stuff like that at a time like this. Stay strong.

Must admit if it was my family we would have laughed our respective genitalia off. But then again we are insane

That is bad I would definitely get in touch with them as others have already said. If you don't feel up to it yourself at the moment, understandably, perhaps you could get another member of the family to do it for you, someone who's more of a distant relative
