Fastest 0-60 circa 2000
I have read that 'a motorcycle magazine' said the storm was te fastest 0-60 bike in the world, does any body know what magazine it was????
(Go to wiki page on the firestorm)

I don't know which magazine printed that, but have a look at this

I'm not sure what magazine that would ever have been in, considering:
Hayabusa, ZX12, GSXR1000, R1, FireBlade, SP1, 996, ZX9R and a host of others are faster to 60 in the year 2000/1.
The Storm hits 60 in 3.9, all the above are 3.5 or better with the GSXR being the daddy of that time with 2.7.
Any of those bikes will also do a 10 second (most will do 9's) 1/4 mile whereas the Storm manages 11's
11.090 being the fastest Storm I can find.
9.940 for a 2000 model Blade.

Voted most likely to be found dead in park bushes following an act of autoerotic asphyxiation.
Not 0-60, but some interesting stats if correct

Just nipping out to my local Kwak dealer
I should read it properly shouldnt i !!!

Come on guys! I would not have bought the Storm if I was after top performance figures, an old FZR1000 genesis would be a bloody good match! Its the look/sound/price and feel I went for.

But could you get one of these for 2K? plus you'd still be stuck in traffic.LotusSevenMan wrote:Ummmm

Sure i bet they're a ball on a trackday, watched a Top Dear episode the other week where Clarkston pitched an Ariel Atom against a CBR600RR.stating you don't need a bike for performance. Why then did he pitch the 29K supercharged against a 7K 600,a Fireblade would have given a better comparison(not sure it would have beaten the Atom),but you could still buy 3 of them to one Ariel.

Cheers
