load of tosh...if they wanna do you, they do you....they dont bother with was it /wasnt it crap....and yep kaz is right...sort of, its law to state the postcode of maker nowt else..

Just to add something else into the debate, for MOT purposes they legally have to have a BS number. Although not many testers would fail it even if they noticed.

mine passed other week with a 6x4 " plate on...i couldnt be assed fitting the sail back on lol

Gees, sounds like you lot have been able to whack a piece of cardboard on the back with some numbers in crayon.
We can only get plates from the Transport Department. Full stop. Nobody else can make them. They look a lot better than yours though, IMO... Got a range of theme ones & the likes, plus you can get personalised plates starting out at not too much. In Queensland it's just a once off fee, but I think New South Wales charges you every year.
