Hi Guys,

Been lurkin for a while but decided to join the party, so what you havin :D

I brought a Storm at the end of Jan. 53 Plate, 9500 miles and standard apart from a scott oiler, result. Been riding since 95, owned a fair few bikes, including 4 years on motards (hence user name) before buying a Z750 due to a longer commute. Z and I got smashed up real bad last May and I couldn't ride between May - Jan due to nerve damage in my hand. Decided I wanted a Storm next and even though I've only ridden it 3 times so far I reckon I made the right choice 8) I'm not commuting by bike anymore, to many near misses before my big off with tossers who worry more about being late than looking around them  So weekend fun it is then.

So far I've fitted some Pilot Powers (not 2CT) and that it, although I'm thinking of SP1 calipers, braided hoses, SP1 M/C and some highlevel cans, better fork springs/oil as well when funds allow. Would like to properly sort suspension out, but not sure how much cashola I'll have in the near future due to wedding

Anyway fill ya boots and chat soon

Hi my man.

IMHO - get the suspension done first.
Sintered pads and braided hoses next
Then cans

I wouldn't bother about the SP1 bits - I haven't, but I have done as above and she stops a treat now.

No way! Cans first IMO let that sound out! I went back to standards in between the Scorpions and my current modded cans and it was terrible. Felt like the engine had lost 15 BHP and sounded like it had two squirrels stuffed up the exhaust :(

That's true. :)

In fact, I can take hairpins one gear higher without the baffles in the Scorpions.

Do squirrels make a different sound to hamsters when inserted? In exhausts I mean
