well today i thought i have nothing to lose,so i got out my blow torch and heated up my front brake lever,with a pair of pipe grips i carefully straightened the brake lever,after the lever was straightened not a single crack or mark where the lever bent,so saved myself a few quid and got a usable bike now not later

I'd be a bit wary of doing anything like that to anything aluminium,as it alters the metals properties (strength etc).Its already been stressed once with the first prang any extra interferance will weaken it further.
Maybe as a quick fix but i'd replace it asap with a new lever.
