iridium cleaning..

just got my blue iridium visor and was wondering if any one got any top tips for looking after it..
cause if you do any thing but look at it you get marks smears etc on it..
i have used the soap n water approach so far worked great..
but was just curious if any of the wiser gandolf members have any top tips..
and before you say it... no i shouldnt just buy a black visor cause they are easier to clean...

Use a micro-weave cloth (I got a Kodak one from the opticians for a few quid).

i got some super soft cloths for cleaning plasma screens and the plastics on them so you dont scratch them..
but was wondering if there is some spray cream or such to stop the mirror effect getting wombles up by any form of contact...
as much as i love the look i can see it been a ball ache to keep it looking out the packet fresh.. same goes for the matt finish lid...
it looks wombles amazing.. but what a fatherles child to keep clean...

Just clean (warm if it's available) water H2o
Clean dry non-abrasive cloth - camera lens type to dry it - microweave as mentioned. Carry one with you or you're left with the proverbial bog roll
IMO don't use
ANY detergents especially if the visor comes with 'anti-fog' coating on inside like AGV GP PRo / V-flyer / Ti-Tech helmet types.
The detergent removes the coating whereas water doesn't - well nowhere near as quickly. Shouldn't need cloth on inside of visor anyway as just 'breath' to be removed.
I don't use cloth for fly / midge removal either - just let the water soften them and remove with your hand under the tap.
Touch the iridium and it'll show - just carefully polish with the soft cloth after refitting visor.

thanks guys n gals n people from wales, ( if there was any )
after taking the visor out the packaging it had a rather nasty scratch on the one side of it.. gave it a clean with some visor cleaner and it has GONE....
it was most deff a scratch in the mirror not the visor itself
i was gonna just bag it up and mail it back but after cleaning it and leaving it for over 4 hours the mark has gone...
