I have a "FOBCO Star" pillar drill in my garage, and basically never use it, whih seems a shame for such a heavy duty piece of kit. Does anyone know what sort of money they go for, I'm led to believe that they are quite sort after but perhaps one of you learned Gents (and Ladies of course) could let me know.

There's a Fobco pillar drill on ebay with a "buy it now" of £475.
Give adtrader a try,if there are any for sale,it'll give you an idea of the price they go for

There's only one listed under completed sales. £50 and nobody bid on it.
I'll give you a fiver for it but that includes delivery as well.

It's a high quality machine tool - accurate table, good bearings/quill, much better than the usual Chinese drill presses offered for sale these days. It's capable of carrying out light milling operations if you get a cross table to bolt onto it. If you can find a buyer who's looking for one, and who is prepared to pay the premium for a quality tool, then maybe 200-250 quid [in good condition]. However it seems many potential buyers would rather chuck 100 quid at a Chinese sh1t pile, simply because they don't know the difference. I used to run a Model Engineering website with machine tool/models advertising pages a few years ago.
