I have to say when watching the TT on ITV4 tonight, I really felt for the bloke he was fairly going for it and yet again a dnf.
It seems to have been a TT with a higher than usuall no of high profile mechanical problems, I wonder if the machines are just at the limits of their development ?
Any other thoughts from you peeps?

And the cause of the above crash? a failed jubilee clip, probably costing no more than £1, seriously, that's all it was! Bruised isn't the word! He was unable to drive himself back to Lincolnshire, Ivan Lintin (Manx GP hopeful this year - 1st time there) took over that duty.

A lot of the DNFs this week have been for similar small component failures and / or leaks. John McGuiness was a DNF in the Superstock on Wednesday also through an oil leak of some kind, couldn't keep his foot on the peg! So I doubt that we have reached the limits of development just yet.
You've only to look at this years GP to see how much more they're managing to get out of an engine they've moved from 990cc to 800cc and yet are smashing lap records left right and centre.

As for the coverage, it was better than nothing I suppose, but TBH, the Senior coverage must have been 20 mins tops from a race that lasted 1H 46M!!!!
I listened to it at work on the TT radio link posted a couple of days ago, and what a race!!!! I'll be getting the duke DVD when it's out

When that silly cow was interviewing him in the street, you could tell he was absolutely gutted, I was shouting at the tv for her to stick the mike somewhere and give the poor lad a hand pushing it! Her and the camera man and sound man - For Feck's Sake!
Top Gear, Fifth Wheel, BSB, WSB and other programmes are good as most if not all the presenters have competed and know what they are talkin about. I doubt the 'Tub o' Lard or that daft bint have ever thrown their leg across a motorcycle in anger!

BTW there's more race coverage on TT radio tonight, from the Billown circuit, first race is 17:30, Ultra lightweights.

Hey RedStorm I'm assuming you are talking about the coverage on ITV with Janie something and Mike Brewer. I don't know about her riding pedigree per se but she's (if thats who we're taking about) is the motorcycle journalist for The Sun. Pretty sure she used to be a Gladiator on telly also.

The best TT progs i have see this last 2 weeks were the historical ones with good old Murray Walker, he is a star!!

Just got back from the TT & most of the top riders had their share of bad luck.
Pleased for McGuinness tho',who after last year seemed to be having a crap TT.
Even had the pleasure of sharing track time at Jurby with Cameron Donald on Thursday,scrubbing in his slicks for the Senior,
lapped everyone in 2 laps,passed me on the straight (130 on my clock)like i was stood still.

My mate spanners for Tas Suzuki and bobbed round last night, said they were gutted they had the oil leak in the senior TT as he was about 8 seconds in front of McGuiness when it went pop, that said they had ther share of luck the previous saturday when everyone else dropped out.

Tas had 3 wins in the week and are "Made Up" even with Anstey being DQ'd in the 1st supersport race. They were so close to winning the 5 major races of the week.

Roll on Snetterton with Michael Laverty on the superbike (should be quick down them long straights)

Aye, GM has no luck at all....if he fell into a bucket of boobs he would come out sucking his thumb!

He appears now and again on the Performance Bike forum....he was on it on Sunday properly fed up and complaining about Honda reliability (or lack of it)

Yeah they (TAS) did good,really felt for Ainsty tho' on Monday he felt that crap (flu like)he pulled out of the superstocks.Then got back out in the afternoon & blitzed everyone only to have it taken away from him on a technicality.
If your mate was at Jurby,i was the tw@t who out braked himself & took to the grass at the s bend,think Cam was waiting to join the track at the end of the "pitlane"must've pissed himself
