What is it about North Scotland and the firestorm? After spending two weeks up by Inverness it seemed that 20% of the bikes were Storms!
If it wasn't a Ewan Macgregor wannabe on a GS it was a Storm!

Beamish, Kev,
It was'nt me, but I must agree with you that when in Inverness the Storms seem to outnumber the "other" bikes that you see. It could be that we up here, know good value for money
Mine is still tucked up in the shed at the moment whilst I finish off the garage conversion. Were you up on the bike Beamish ?
Have fitted Kitches old Blue Flame Evos

and just need to get new braided lines fitted, then MOT and away.
Bikerpiker, aye the weather has been cr-p this last fortnight. We were down in the lakes from the 20th till the 27th and had about 2 days that you could call good.
We called in by Devils Bridge on the Thursday (26th and it was chucking it down) it was the first time I have been there in more than 10 years that there were no bikes about.
On the way home we crossed in by Gretna and up through Dumfries up the west side, Irvine, Largs (ice cream

) Greenock, Erskine Bridge, etc, etc. The rain chased us all the way up and finally caught up with us in Oban. June I thought to myself more like April.
Cheers
A.M.

Tattie, pity aboot the weather, thing is,we had aboot 6 weeks good dry weather beforehand
Largs is ok for a wee short sunday meet-up if there are no runs arranged, 20-30 bikes in the car-park in a good day.
I keep hearing of Devils Bridge, squires ,big d's, etc..i might manage to get there some day

,have been to the lakes before on bike, but didnt realise there was bike meet places nearby.
Im goin to Poole in a few weeks, lookin forward to the bike meet on the quayside, advertised as the biggest weekly bike meet in the UK

No Tattie I had too much kit to take the bike and to be honest it would have been a wash out

Some serious rain on both the trip up and back plus some shi*e during my time up there.

I ,and three mates, have just completed a wee tour of my old stomping ground ( Perth-Lochearnhead-Fort William-Ullapool-Overnight stay Golspie-Inverness-Grantown on Spey via Nairn- Braemar via Tomintoul-Perth) 546 miles and never saw a Storm on me travels.
Loads of chaps on those bloody GS thingymajigs, they dont wave you know!!!!
Daz, you missed it mate, it was freakin' brilliant, bone dry the whole way, excellent digs at Golspie, hardly any traffic and no cops, me and Stevie on SV 1000 had a wee race across the Achnasheen straights, bugger got past me at about 158'ish, these bloody Vtwins too quick for me wee 636.
Raised nearly £700 for Bob's youth football team as well.
Storms in the north.....................never saw one!!!!!!
