Right, I've had a think about this, and it's about time something was done about the costs of petrol.

No, not a protest rideout, that just uses MORE fuel, and anyway, going slowly is not what I bought a bike for.

So I've come up with this (bear with me to the end before you scoff, please).

All we need to do is peg the cost of fuel at the price it was about a year ago, i.e. @90P/litre.


Then reduce the size of a litre every time you would have had to put the price up.

ADVANTAGES:

I wouldn't be incandescent with rage when I am low on fuel and have to pay £1.25 at a motorways services (or, if you're reading this next week, £1.47).

I'm forever whinging baout the small tank size on my Storm, 17 litres is no use. I could buy a bigger tank, but think how happy I'd feel if I could get 19 or 21 litres into the current one?

It would be great if I could drink 2 litres of beer without worrying about the drink drive limit!

And best of all- Gordon bloody thieving (I'd dance on his grave) Brown would only get tax on the cost price!

DISADVANTAGES:

It'd still cost more each time to fill up. Bugger.

HAHAHAHAH reduce the size of a litre....
there is some logic in there some where but at the rate this country is going using this idea we would be puttng in a minus litres figure in and be paying for it.

News here has been reporting the last day or so that fuel's predicted to reach $8 a litre! I was too scared to pay attention to when.

Figure that'll cost me about $130 to fill up. That's a lotta money to get anywhere when everywhere here is a million miles away.
