Are you worth visiting?

Myself & another OzFireStormer are pitting two holiday possibilities against each other for next year. His best mate is in Leeds, so naturally, one option is the UK experience. The other possibility is a bike tour across bits of Canada & America.
If the UK ends up more enticing, where do we HAVE to go & what do we HAVE to see (& more importantly, who's going to put us up for free & lend us a bike?

)
He's done the UK before. I ain't been nowhere.

Well,
Alan & Steve & Dave (Gyddyn) live in Leeds and Alan's not riding his Storm ATM (or is he?)
I'm about 14 miles West of Alan, Mike's 60ish North, Bob's a little way South, John (JBRebel) & Lee are about 30 South - you get the idea?
In Australian terms, just about everybody on the site (UK at least) is on your doorstep
As for what to see - Bike meets all over & obviously loads of history & scenery, wherever you go.
Good riding all over UK - might be a bit narrow, twisty and lumpy for you?
No Kangaroos though! Although there are some escaped Wallabies about in places
Can't help much with accomodation, unless you want to crash (excuse the pun) in my caravan

- could site it somewhere nice for you though - Obviously not in Bradford!
When might this trip be happening? Might help with things to see and accom.

Wow! Some great offers there, Red One (even those made on others' behalves ;) ). I can just see us towing your caravan with Alan's VTR
Timing hasn't been hugely narrowed down as yet, other than to be in our Winter / your Summer. There's really nothing we have to fit in with, so it'd be whenever.
Just seems like the smart thing to do before fuel hits a million dollars a litre.

Why would anyone want to go to England?

I'm a bit frightened now. Just speaking with my partner-in-crime & he's throwing out suggestions about push-biking around your beloved country
Can anyone tell me how to get into the wax museum? As an exhibit? Sounds like I may need somewhere to hide out as soon as I get off the plane.

Is that where Leeds is? I thought it might have been in Scotland ;)
I was hoping to meet the legendary Cupa & finally learn to differentiate between Scottish & Irish accents (yes, I'm completely hopeless, but don't forget there are barely any of you who could pick my voice out of a bunch of Kiwi's!)

It's not that bad cupa'......im just back, was there for a week in Dorset.....only problem was i felt like a criminal the way some of the shopkeepers and barmaids look at Scottish banknotes though

And Scottish football doesnt merit a mention at all in the daily papers
Apart from that it's great

What is this strange "football" thing you speak of. What sort of bike racing is that?

Bear in mind that Adfski actually lives on that mecca of road racing the Isle of Man
Often described as "80,000 alcoholics clinging to a rock!"
Hmmmmmmm ....... Aussie - alcohol, not a bad place for you to visit
