The cases have been wire brushed to get rid of any loose crap and corrosion then chemically cleaned and scuffed with scotch bright for a good key for the paint then wiped over with a tack cloth paint is my own blend of hammerite gold silver and satin black hammerite works well on engines it seems to cook itself on when the engine gets hot and go’s rock hard mind you it smokes like a pig for the first 20 or so minutes
The ports and valves took about 8 hours in total for both heads there’s not a lot of reworking to do on a bike head there a pretty good shape to start with its more smoothing things out

Warbs you are a gentleman

I know full well what work is required for a strip and rebuild and to ask for beer as payment is class. This particular Blade will not be a permanent fixture so not worth the effort, how are you with a Desmosedici ? Still dont know what bike I am going to end up with but I am slowly unscrambling my messed up cranium. I still want an off roader and a road bike so lets see what happens

A man of discernable taste
Mrs just says it’s a sh*t tip and need half the stuff putting in the bin lol
But she’s had it with that its my domain
I work on the volcano principal what I had last is in front of me and what I used last week ends up at the outer edges of the bench
Anyway I just need some more shelves

Always wondered what the heck they were for

Now I know
Cracking job Warbs, looks absolutely mint that engine does now
I love the engine colour
At least you've got room enough to swing a cat in your garage albeit a small one!
Having said that, mine's getting a bit more room, little by little. Finally got the Gixxer running right today, changed plugs, dropped fuel tainted oil, etc. Putting it all back together found we'd lost 2 fairing clips off the side - well they'd fallen off somewhere!
Emptied dive bags, cylinders all sorts of other guff out onto the drive from where fairing panel had been sat and sure enough found them
So garage a little roomier as stuff got put back in tidier and Gixxer up and running to boot!
Dying to take her out for a blast, but weather's just turned for the worse again so that'll have to wait.
Just a good clean, some new tyres, an MOT & Tax and she'll be ready to roll!
So hopefully, now I can concentrate on sorting crash damaged Domi out & sorting out my own Storm engine. Might even get to play with a protractor thingy

Rossi, really messes with your mind!!!!! Muaahahahaha

Will every one stop saying I’ve got a garage it’s a shed
Would love a garage
Before the shed went up had a bob the builder quote but he sucked in a bit of air and said sorry m8 the foundation on the back of your house would need underpinning for a garage bloody back falls away 1 meter in 5 so to get it level with the back street would need to drop the ground level at the back of the house by just over a meter and that would have exposed the back foundation

A posh shed made wae concrete blocks then,,ive got an auld wooden garage approx 50 years old, rotten as a peach
I think its all the rubbish in it,up in the roof beams etc, that holds it in place every winter
Been lookin on fleabay for "concrete sectional garage" ,but never anything near me
