working shifts mean I have often start early mornings and late at night. I,ve noticed it,s getting chilly round the neck area at these time now.
The one I have seems to ride up around the top of my jacket and lets draft in. either it has to be down to keep neck warm or up to cover mouth and mose. No happy medium
I think I need to invest in a new neck tube, one that actually covers around the lower neck area as well as the nose.
There seems to be so many on the market so was wondering if advise from any one as to which would be the best to buy speaking from your experiences .

On the way to Mugello last year I bought one of those silk balaclava things that extend down over your neck. Thoroughly impressed. Kept my neck warm when it got wet and chilly in the rain and kept my head cool when the temp got into the 30's. Also has the added bonus of soaking up sweat and stops the inside of your helmet smelling like an old sock. Also, because it's thin it rolls up nice and small and takes up no room in your pocket.

Had a tube a few years ago but don't think I'll be going back to them.

I had been looking at one of those but was wondering if it would be to hot if weather warmed up . Also the neck of my leathers are farily low ,would these be long enogh to cover the area around this part as well. Would you say that they stop a lot of wind noise as well .

As far as I can remember it's quite long, ohh err! Does actually stop some wind noise, and as a bonus, makes putting my helmet on easier as my ears don't get in the way any more.

Try a millets 'Peter Storm' snood or a similar Berghaus Power Stretch Neck Gaiter with a draw string that can be used as a hat, scarf or headband.



I have 3 so I can always have one freshly washed - like thermal underwear for the gob area

I got one of those silk ones off ebay.

I'd recommend them, I hardly ever go out without it.

The 3 you got form the show timbo woulndt happen to have been round the necks of 3 good looking women sat astride bikes by any chance.

Just looked at the image adfski, first thoughts was looking at a medival chap getting ready to chop of some ones head. scare the grannies to death when yh take yh helmet of in the street.

Wifey and I both use Buff neck warmers.

I just have 1 Polartech one which has a fleece cuff, Wife has a few different ones.

Think it was Ride magazine that rated them the overall alround ( ) best neck warmer last year.

Lot of bike shops stock them, and if none near you, walking / outdoor shops also stock them.
