Timbo that is shi* luck but the bike didnt hit the floor nor did it fall on your car (a la Blade /C1) so alls not too bad. You could claim on your insurnace (house if it is allowed) for the lid.

Timbo , theres a product on the market called g10 and Comes in a Plastic bottle . It,s the same product as G3 . But G10 is designed for removing smaller fainter scratches as it has very little course compound in it. Is idead for darker colours where G10 would leave swirl scratch marks.
T-Cut is ok , but dont use for long period of time as it will eventuly turn things yellow due to it,s own natural colour of it,s product. especially whites.

Must say time , thats true love for yh bike when yh prepared to throw yhself under the weight of the bike to save it.

You're no longer alone Timbo, just polished my helmet!
It's raining outside, the bike racing's over and i'd nowt else to do!
The hard part was polishing around John McGuinness's signature (Glasson Dock last August, his 130mph year!). I really should get around to laquering over it at some point!

Hey timbo. Was at bridgenorth cafe yesterday and got chatting to a chap who owns a kwaka like yours. I happened to mention your slight problem and he told me theres a mod especially for this problem. He did mention where to get it from ..... but I forgot . ffs .

i came accross this, possibly / probably you're aware of it......if ye are,,ignore me
Sidestand
Although the sidestand isn't a weak point as such, it's been known to let the ZRX down quickly and expensively.
The sidestand doesn't really move forwards quite far enough when it's down and it doesn't take much effort/lack of care to have the bike roll forwards slightly and the sidestand retract all by itself. If you happen to be standing on the wrong side of the bike at the time...........
A quick fix is to remove up to 3mm of metal from the stop which the sidestand butts up against when down, with the result that the stand will be up to 2" (50mm) further forwards, requiring more effort/lack of care to have an accident with it.
Taking a hacksaw/file/angle grinder to your new ZRX may sound a bit drastic but several people have allowed it to fall over first and then modified the sidestand later.

The bike did get a little mark, but was just some blue paint on the winker and clutch master cylinder. All polished off, phew.
Are you sure you spelt that right?

Timbo sorry to hear of your little accident, it wouldn't have happened if you still had the Storm. Interesting to hear of your helmet polishing skills I haven't polished mine for many years I always try to get some nice lady to do it for me

1st thing i was told on the ZRX forum was always leave it in gear, they are known for rolling off stand. It was in gear yesterday. Also, i usually park with the front wheel against something when i can.
It looks like Bikerpiker has come up trumps with his post for the very thing Well done to Steve
I guess if a wall is not available the next best thing is to park the bike facing up hill, but there's not always a slight incline available I know
