but ever since the other day i have been lookign at the tl1000 engine which is quicker.
Or would you reccomend any other engines? V twin with lots of power obviously
what would you suggest i go for. and please try not to let vote be down to the bike you own!

Having just bought one i would say the TL is better
I should imagine that the Suzuki doesn't have CCTs made of jelly and there is a fair whack more grunt. Go for a TLR engine and that is pumping out 135 bhp at the crank.
The RSV engine and SP1 engine are very hard to work on apparently so you should avoid them. The only thing about the TLR engine is that it is very long and will make the bike the same.

If your purely looking at the better V2 engine it depends what you want from it.
The VTR is a great engine. Typical V2 delivery with loads of torque where you need it and revs less than the Suzi. My bike made 107BHP ATRW on the dyno with a full stage one tune (filter, cans, jet kit etc...)
The TL has stacks more power and is more linear in delivery. Up to banning speed id say the VTR wouldnt be far behind the TL. After that its toast

It has more shunt throught the range.
The TL I had made nearer 122BHP ATRW with only a pair of aftermarket cans.

If you are going the whole hog the RSV engine has proved to be very reliable with only the dodgy clocks and early lecky to worry about. To be honest buddy you wouldnt go wrong with either of the engines you have mentioned. Avoid the Ducati twins unless you like to tinker.......a lot. The early engines are down on HP (against TLR) and v high maintenance.
The VTR with side rads is not everyones cup of tea in fightered form so think about the finished look rather than the donk.

people talk about grin factor.....
i fail to see how pootling around in a smart car offering out any thing at the traffic lights for a race and beating everything but a formula one car wouldnt cause a HUGE smile....
i would need deep heat on my middle finger the amount of times i would be flicking it while riding around in one of these... LOL
