New bike and a promotion, things must be looking up

Well, it's official, I am going to be a Major!!! Feel a bit young to be one of them but i am sure i will adjust!!!
The same day i find out, i collect my new ride, what a winner!
Initial impressions are interesting. The bike has a mountain of torque that feels quite alien, even compared to the SP1. The handling is utter shite but a Maxton rear shock and new fork internals should sort that. Xenons being installed next weekend. Strange noise resembling keys jangling coming from the front end

alarm bells ringing there.
Still for only a few quid it is a hell of a lot of bike. As the great Mr Rossi says "I very happy"

Congrats on the promo matey.
Never did authority very well so don't expect a salute from me - well not one you'd like
Mate at work in SAS (Saturdays & Sundays) got a CPL few weeks ago - had already volunteered for a 12mth tour!
He found out today he's going to a very active area in the New Year - a well known Mayonaise springs to mind
Rather him than me!
Lovely bike, get some more vids posted caning the mutha!
We want to hear ear bleeding exhaust notes

Congrats Mellis
You've become a Major What?
Nice bike too.
Glad to see things are looking up. Must be something in the air, my stuff is going suspiciously well right now too.
No cheesy thumbs up on the video?!?

Its tradition.

Nice one Mellis
I know a few who served in the forces for a while and never made such a rank so you must have grafted hard and seen a lot and stuck it out to get to where you are...well done man
As for the new bike, it looks fantastic in the vid/pics.....i must admit i do miss the rumble and instant bark of a big twin.
Is the suspension on those things really that bad?...i have heard the stories.....but then some have said that its all scaremongering?
well done anyways, i hope u have fun on it

Congrats on the promo!
Bike looks sweet. Best colours defo
As reagards the keys jangling-they all do that Sir.
It'll be the scissor gears sticking. Very different sounding engine to the VTR1000F. Mine sounded like a bag of knackers in comparison even after I sorted the valve clearances. Lots of "clicking and ticking"...its just a noisy engine in comparison to some. Once it's dialed up on those cans no one will hear much
Have you checked the impellor seal for leaks?
Sure it'll ride better with the handling issues ironed out, but they are a bit of a boat
Enjoy the ride

never the mind the bike (nice as it is) I wanna see the obligatory waxed moustache
is it a standard issue stick-on jobbie or do you have to grow yer own?

Nice one Sir

This old RAF SNCO might just throw one up for a biker Major

Enjoy the TLR. You should be ordering a new Ducati 1198 on your wage

I know mate, but he is Sir in my strange world and would be severely reprimanded for hob nobbing with a crab SNCO
