Spyder....cool or crap ? V2 990 engine

Post by bikerpiker »

My dad was over at his house in Spain over the new year hols, in a phone call to me he mentioned he'd seen some big 3 wheeled motorbike thingys ,unusual cos they had 2 wheels at the front and one at the rear :?
A dealership were promoting/selling them outside a supermarket .

On his return he showed me his holiday pics including one of the trikes, i searched on internet and it turns out it is a Can Am Spyder.....what do you think :?:

I cant see them selling too many over here ,although there are a few guys in this area with road going quads :!:

Its crap!, Someone has been trying to sell something like that over here in NZ as well.

Trikes are for toddlers and seniors mobility scooters.

I spent considerable time on one (testing it for a magazine) and, though it is not for everyone, it is a well built and executed design. It has more in common with riding a snowmobile or ATV than a motorcycle, however. The truth is that Can-Am never expected to lure away motorcyclists anyhow, but rather attract buyers who, for numerous reasons, want the "wind in the hair" sensations but are afraid of stepping up to two wheels.

Stevie,

They look like fun to me :!: I wouldn't be swapping my bike for one, but I would say yes to taking one for a test ride :!:
