Sorry computer thick, how can i get a pic from my pictures to use as my avatar?
ive tried resizing to the specified pixels but the file size is too big

What file format is is (bmp/jpg etc)
Physical size doesn't mean the file size will be small too. Depends what you are using to resize the picture with.
If all else fails attach it with a PM to me and I'll resize it for you
