Hi Mike, welcome aboard.

Dont worry about your English, it's fine. It's better than any of our Romanian.

Thank you cupasoop! :)...

I discover this forum, searching details about my bike, and i read a lot of intersting stuff, here, on this forum. Here are many people with this passion for VTR. For me it's a special bike and i think it's also a passion for you. in Romania, almoust everybody likes 4 in line motors...and few of us likes V motors....like me..the result it's less information and specialist in V motors. Hope, in this forum to fiind the right informations, to counsel with you, and change opinion.

:)..... Up with "V"....:)

Good evening!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. It feel good to be in this VTR "club" :).
I see that some of you is starting to learn romanian language, like "stratman"(very good, man) :)...so,i think... in a day or two everybody will speak romanian :)....just joking :p .
Like i said, in Romania, are few guys with VTR; but here, finally i feel like a have someone with who i can talk, ask, share opinions about VTR.

Let's talk about VTR:

Problems with my bike:Only one, for the moment :) - fuel light doesn't work - it happen, one day, to remain out of fuel( like we said : "fools breakdown"), but the fuel led in the bord doesn't work. why?

Plans for the future : a bug spoiler and maibe, later, a repaint.

How much fuel eat your VTR?..Mine, 10 liters in town and 7 liters out of town till 160km/h speed. Does your Vtr's eat oil?
Welcome Aboard Mihai

.......Thank you Pete.
.....about the cans, i bought the cans from a guy, they are a hand made,,,carbon, not from a store or something like that, they have no name, but the sound is terrifying, i liked very much. At the periodical inspection, the mecanics tell me to put down these cans and put the original cans on the bike, to pass inspection. :).

Hello Mike - welcome to the forum

I hope when you re-paint your VTR you keep her RED as it is the fastest colour

There's a wealth of experience and opinion on here so I think your chance finding of us is a good one :biggrin

Unfortunately as with most Brits I speak only English fluently.

I also see that BabelFish doesn't list Romanian - which is maybe not a bad thing as it's translations of French & German etc are very literal ending up making little sense

yes, i will keep her red, she's looking good in red; this colour fit her; but i hope to find and buy the original stickers for her.

:D I know I've said it before, but welcome aboard Mike :!: :D

Your bike looks good :!: especially being red. The carbon cans go well with it.

Not too sure what's happened to your fuel light. It could be just a wire broken or not connected, or the sender unit in the tank faulty.

I take it you mean 160 kilometers to a tank full of fuel, that sounds about right, (that works out to 160 km = 99.419 of our miles) some will get less or others slight more depending on what speed they travel at.

Have speed camera's arrived where you are yet :?: They call them safety camera's over here

My bike doesn't use hardly any oil.

Chris.

.........tank you; i was lucky to find this cans and very cheap too(about 100 pound in your money, hope to sait right)

..i think you are making reference at speed camera's from police speed detector's(mobile or fixed)....if it's right, yes, we have speed camera's, but we don't have many problems :)....many of these camera's are oriented senseless and can't see the license number from behind :), they make pictures only from front (good for bike's, bad for car's) :).......for us, in Romania, camera's from the police car's are good...and can make us picture's at high speed. :P..if they are hiding, with the front of the car oriented to our back bike's.

Sorry to disappoint you, "stormingjoe", but we have roads, which are not so bad. I think you have a wrong image about Romania. Sorry to hear that.:(.
