Shame on me!

Post by simon t »

Hi all. Well, after six years I am finally without a V-twin. Trying to convert the SV to stupid French 100hp regs proved too difficult and costly, so it's back in the UK and up for sale at Fasttrack in Leicester (see Bike Trader). The ride back was a right bugger - 800 miles in freezing temperatures, while Haze and Sammy travelled in warmth and luxury in the car.

Good news is that I've already got another bike lined up, an old-school Faser 1000. It's fully loaded with gear, so we should be doing some nice comfy weekends away in the summer. And the good news is that as it is carbed it's a doddle to de-restrict. So I should soon have a bike that puts out about 20 bhp more than the one the froggies wouldn't let me import!!!

So that's the tool I'll be on if any of you get together and make it out to Chauvac this summer - hope to see you.

I like the old shape fazer1000 , one of my workmates has one , he has had it since new when they first came out ,and loves it.
He rides like a hooligan at times ,and also tours/rallies with a pillion, he says it does everything he wants it to :!:
Nice choice

No. You can ride through France on whatever you want, but you couldn't import it to there if you lived there.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

I like the look of the earlier Fazers too :!:

That must have been a fair old ride back (800mls in freezing temperatures) for sure.

Do keep us posted on your opinion of the new bike,

Cheers,

Chris.
