Fitting Exhausts

Post by pete7 »

Okay, aquired a second hand set of Remus Grand Prix which are going on this weekend. The silencers attach with springs and the intermediate pipes bolt. Do I need to seal the joints with something and if so any recommendations ?

I sealed my exhaust joints with a heat resistant silicone which someone recommended to me which will come apart very easy if you need to strip it down, ie mot time if they're race cans. I think Halfords supply the required sealant, its made by Locktite, product 5920 copper high performance silicone RTV gasket maker,
cheers Chris.
