How do you set up a sale to be advertised UK advertisment only, to accept UK bids and payment only?

Have stuff I want to list but don't want to send it half way round the globe.

Ta

:)

Yeah, done that Phil-but I'm still getting a load of hassle.

Its not that I don't like the French or Italians :biggrin I just can't be arsed messing around shipping abroad-had probelms with that before.

As long as I can make sure peolpe outside the UK can't bid I'll not be bothered

Make the foreign shipping prohibitively expensive is what I do - then if they do bid and win, I'm quids in....

(though I believe you can restrict where you ship to by selecting only UK shipping in the postage options...)

Yeah, I've found the restrictions for where you'll ship to-I think?! Or it might be where you don't wish to advertise?!

Suppose that'll stop them putting a bid on-I'll have a look tonight at home.

Cheers

I've done quite a bit of ebaying and I don't think you can filter who bids as it's just part of the world wide web,

But I do like the previous suggestions - especially the very high overseas shipping price.

Saying that I sent a mountain bike to Sweden, all good and just the same as if it went somewhere in the UK - courier collected from my door.

I hate all the crap spelling and stupid questions you always get from people abroad.

Heard someone say the other day, "Ebay is full of hopers and dreamers"

Know what you mean...

I've got a few bike bits to shift. Once these are gone I'll not be using it for a bit.

With big items I don't want to ship abroad I just stick on a proviso saying that it's for collection only, if you want to arrange collection with your own courier that's up to you.

Make it nice and big in the details, and they can't complain later.

Oh, and I'd want cash on collection if poss, as Paypal can be reversed later....

I spent 4 months in the UK back in 1993 (finished up my schooling at the U. of Bradford, managed to squeeze in the WSB race at Donington, saw Foggy and Scott Russell fighting it out for the championship) and really enjoyed it. Would love to go back and visit, it just hasn`t worked out yet, but I will be back, muahhahahahahah

You wouldn't want to have to pay the shipping on a Wing, they're too bloody heavy.
