:biggrin Hi, just picking your brains again. Has anybody tried one of those cheap rectifiers on Fleabay from China? They're about a tenner plus. Or do you think

pay abit more for a second hand one? Thanks.

Just remember when trying to save a tenner that when the reg/rec goes it usually takes the battery with it..........could be another £60 for a battery.

R6 is fine, R1 is a bit quicker.

:biggrin Thank you all for your help. All sorted now. In addition to the modification article,i took time to take the connectors out of the multi plug so did'nt have to chop the wires. Filled /slotted the holes in the R1 reg/rec.so could use both bolt holes and the flasher unit stays in place. OH and i put shrink wrap on the wires as insulation before fitting. Tidy job.
Thanks again
