I had one. It was red!! Around 1978. It wasn't in as good a nick as this one looks. Had to replace the big ends after about 30k.

It's nice to see an insurance company having to stump up for once Chris :thumbup: then again that amounts probably a drop in the ocean for them...

My brother and I when in our early twenties built a "Viva-Tor" as we named it. That was a std Viva with engine bay modified to take the Victor lump which was a straight 6, 3.3 litre jobbie. We got it all sorted with a shortened prop shaft (but hadn't at this stage got around to modifying the brakes........eek). The two rear spark plugs were changed from inside the car!!! Problem came as we got nearer completion. No-one and I mean no-one would insure us. Grumpy lot. It wouldn't have cost 3,000 to fix or write off let alone 300,000!!!
Still, probably saved our lives and those of others too ha ha :clap:
