Hi Jacey.
First fitted one when my bike was compleately std. Thought it was a good idea cause they never need replacing.I then found I had a hicup between 3.5 - 4.5k rpm.
Not best chuffed at the time. So i had a play around with the needles and the problems sorted.
Personally, not so good for a std bike. Much better flow if your gunna put on some cans

Personally, I wouldn't bother with a K&N, because:
(A) They're too feckin expensive
(B) I get the feeling it's mostly hype
(C) Apparently (no personal experience) they don't do anything for performance, and *may* just make it worse.

I turned my OEM filter into a Unifilter - much bettererer. Only cost me $NZ32 (about 10 quid).
