Whilst updating my iphone,I needed to update my apps and was looking through the categories and there is an Appfor finding sex offenders. I assume it is the US as it states in all 50 states etc, but says it is to keep you and your family safe. It is FREE via Apps/top free/utilities/ and if you use the built in GPS locator,it finds sex offenders in that area with a detailed profile..you can also search by using saved contacts or manually putting in an address:
FEATURES:
No limit on searches
No limit on number of use per day
Full feaured app
Use GPS function to find registered offenders in close proximity
Search by address
Detailed profile of each offender/picture/location/description
etc etc
Thoughts on this subject?? I suppose if you were taking your family to the States on holiday, it could come in handy, but would you download it? and if you did, would you be able to enjoy your holiday without constantly watching and worrying...Do you think it would encourage folk to take the law into their into hands and end up clink as a result. Or do you think it is a good idea in as much as the person on the register knows they are being watched as a direct result of this free information and so lessen the chance of repeat offending? hummmmm......
They get all they deserve, but inho if any of my children had been subjected to this type of crime, I for one would be tempted to find out and if you did find out, would you act on it in your own way? humm. Debate debate...
