Hi all,

not had a carb bike for ages so simple question.
So cold starting, full choke press button, now how long until it will ride smoothly with no choke ?

In this weather - it's pretty much immediately


(and with my pipes, I tend to fire her up, then just slip the clutch and roll up the road)

I reckon everyone will have a different answer to this...
I don't use the choke at all in summer, and in winter my VTR starts straight away on half choke, choke off as soon as I pull away.

No, mine's exactly the same.

Mine is the same, she let's me know when to put the chock in cause she starts to stall.

Likewise, no choke, prefer not to risk flooding, there is a lot of torque to turn over as it is, if it wont tick over when running, then give it a bit of choke then, but in the summer usually none at all
