Howdy peeps,
Had my storm from new, bought in 2000. Now covered just short of 70K miles but not without problems. The usual CCT failure, bike is now on third set. Fried R/R caught just in time. But I still love it like the first day I bought it.

Hi & welcome
I can understand how you have done 70K in 10 yr as I bought mine end of last Aug and already put 7k on the clock. Good to see you still have it and enjoy it just as much now. Pics would be good.

I have only had one fail at about 56k the rear pot, all 4 valves met piston. At about 30k I changed both of them because of them failing. Yes I have put the standard ones in but am now keen to receive some manual CCT's. Other than that the bike is brilliant and I still love it. I work in a bike shop and have ridden a fair few bikes but nothing I would rather own than the storm. I have a Penske shock fitted and the forks have been sorted by Roger at revolution. Other than that the bike is standard, oh apart from the compulsory race cans, polished rims, double bubble screen, crash muffins, motrax grips, speedo healer, 15 tooth front and 43 rear sprockets, I think that's it, er actually he also has a K&N air filter, yeah that's it now, I think!
I'll sort some pictures out so you can see him.

Just read my post and it dont make a lot of sense, to clarify, I changed the CCT's at 30K through fear of them failing.

Here he is, my mate Buddy. This is prior Penske shock and the latest race cans from JAC.
me and Buddy at Brands Hatch
The pics are a few years old now.
The speedo healer is a wicked bit of kit, very easy to use. The connection is made just under the seat, takes 5 mins to install. You have to check the settings with the website calculator. Tell it what you have done sprocket wise and you flick a few switches on the control unit and it adjusts your speedo accordingly. You can even fine tune it by telling it if you have part worn tyres. Check it out here
