i have t mobile for the same price, on a stick thing.
works anywhere i can get a fone signal, upto 7.2mb.
if it's not a good signal i can still connect but it's like being back on dial up :?

if you are a virgin media customer you can get their mobile broadband for a fiver a month added to your usual bill - hard to beat imo. only 3mb but it's enough if you're just posting shite like what i do.

I did have a look at T-Mobile as i used to have a cheap phone with them, but there max speed was quoted as 4.5mbs not as much as the 7.2mbs that 3, Vodafone, Orange and Virgin currently offer

i am virgin customer at home, did look at that 20% off offer but that was on the 1gb monthly allowance which isn't alot, would like to use it for the odd few movie downloads when im not at home few times a month, and the 1gb wouldn't give me that, plus I thought with discount that would be 8 quid, and for just 4 quid more a month I could have better coverage with the 3 network and an extra 4gb monthly allowance

i can assure you t mobile do 7.2 - ive been using it for near enough 2 years.
very often when im away i use miro to download torrents and have never had a warning for misuse yet
i dont get a signal on it in my house, but next time im out & about with it i'll add a screenshot of the web&walk speed graph

quote:
T-Mobile mobile broadband coverage
The top speed on T-Mobile’s network is currently 7.2Mb. However, speeds vary depending on where you live and as with a fixed-line connection, you're unlikely to reach your top advertised speed.

*(when i get a full signal on my t mobile fone, i can connect hsdp or whatever its called and get full 7.2mb, more often than not)

Make sure you check coverage in your area on T-Mobile’s website, or in-store, before signing up.

Our expert’s verdict
Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “T-Mobile is regularly voted the UK’s fastest mobile broadband provider. It is also the only supplier to offer a fair usage policy instead of a set download allowance. This means that customers won’t automatically be charged for exceeding their allowance

i know 3 claim to have the best network, but having previously been a 3 fone customer, i wouldnt touch them with a shitty stick.
at the time their coverage was fiddler, very limited, and their customer service was worse.
your choice but dont say you werent warned lol if you are thinking of signing a contract.

pay as you go mobile broadband is more trouble than its worth tho imo with the amount of fkin about you have to do to get connected.

What coverage can you expect from Mobile Broadband?

Our mobile broadband network is really fast - most people will get speeds between 1 and 2Mbps - perfect for emailing or checking Facebook in double-quick time. A bit like with a mobile phone, the speed you'll get depends on things like your signal strength and location.

Your distance from the nearest transmitter, the number of other users in your area, and hills and buildings nearby can all affect your connection speed. But in areas of good reception, your speed could get up to our maximum of 4.5Mbps and you'll be downloading big files even quicker.

We continually test and improve our network to make sure you're getting the best mobile broadband experience in the UK.

just went off what there site told me mate, ive had two previous 3 phones both have been fantastic service and cover, orange who im with now are also good service and customer service however I found Vodafone customer service shite when i was last with them 18 month ago.

also ive used a 3 pre paid dongle was excellent and a tmobile that i borrowed both worked very well
