I've got the exhausts off to fit new gaskets. Cleaning them up to look like new - any sensible recommendations in Firestorm land for keeping them shiny. What does everyone else use ?

depends how mingy they are... wire wool is good.
i like solvol but some peeps say it's too abrasive.

Spray them black - you are having a chuckle. No chance. I know how to clean them, I'm asking whether anyone has any advice on keeping them from rusting / tarnishing. Granville (for example) do a clear heat resistant laquer.

surprising what they cram into that little shop isn't it - and they never shut...

Leave it in the garage lol not sensible but it works !

Tonyf, I'm in exactly the same position - pipes are off while doing other work, decided to de-tarnish them (hell of a job, BTW), now I want to know how I can keep them that way.

I have polished my forks and use meguires nxt all metal polish to bring back the shine, and a product I use on my cars, chemical guys wheel guard, this helps keeping them clean between washes.
