Spoked wheels

Post by rocoepecotrain »

Hello all,

Was thinking of putting spoked wheels on my storm, seen a few streetfighters with it and thought it would be a nice addition. just for a bit of a different look. Is this possible without getting the things custom built??? And if the custom build is the only option, anybody got any wheel builders that they can recommend??
many thanks

i believe tony mon used to build wheels m8.
problem you would have is with spacers, but it's easy enough to get some made up.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Yes, I did, for Hagon, who still advertise the service in MCN every week.

I can do it, and it would be an interesting challenge, but Hagon would probably do it cheaper, as they do them all day, every day.

http://www.africanqueens.de/ were mentioned in the Varadero forum as a possibility, but the price is quite high, so it's said. My German isn't adequate for researching this, though.

If you can find hubs for another Honda then rims of the right size can be laced on, and either machining or spacers would make the hubs fit.
Depending on hole diameter and bolt spacing, you might also need new discs to fit, and any work aligning the calipers to match.

You might just find it easier to swap a front end form something with a spoked, double discs and decent brakes.

Lastly you might want to consider whether you want to change wheel rim diameters, if you're planning off-road stuff.

But you can't just drill the hubs from the standard bike, having machined off the rim and spokes.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
