Hey, has any one had problems completing a SORN statement on line. Mine is saying that due to the tax class ofthe vehicle / or recent vehcile changes to the vehicle records i'm unable to make apply for sorn or tax the vehicle using this service.
I now have to travel into town to the post office and fill in the form ffs. In this bloody weather on crutches as well.

This is the second time I haven't got a reminded through the post as well, always come through for the car. Last time I taxed the bike at the psot office and there records told them that it was still taxed even though we knew it wasn.t.
Some things a miss here I think.

i didnt get a sorn notice for my cbx or a tax reminder, so as i'd lost the v5 i was fkt for taxing it.
when i applied for a replacement v5 they wanted to charge me £80 for unpaid tax and another £20 for a new v5.

told them i applied for a replacement v5 when i changed address and i am paying crouton all as they've lost the application, and since they havent sent a sorn reminder either blah blah blah.
they sent me a new v5 through the post, free, and waived the back duty (after a bit of assertive diplomacy... :Argue 1: )

depends who you get on the other end of the fone.
if t's a idiot agency worker just hang up & call back later.... if you can get round the automated call service

Just spoke to DVLA, It appears that the details of my bike have changed and thats why I've not been getting my reminders as they have been going to the new owners address .

At the moment the fraud department are looking in to it and have to wait 14 days before calling back if I haven't been contacted .. :confused :confused

Well DVLA have got back to me.... It appears my details were removed as keeper of the vehicle following a disposal notification received at the agency. :Richard:

They checked the disposal notification and found it was from the previous keeper and should have not been processed. :wtf:

Please accept our APOLIGES FOR ANY INCONVENINCE CAUSE. WHAT The F@@K are dvla playing at

bet the thick tw@ ticked the box to say the vehicle had been disposed of....

yes he did dispose of it... but to a new owner, not to a breaker  dvla will take that as it's been scrapped.
the forms are probably read by a machine anyway.
no biggy as long as they dont want back duty like they said to me :Argue 1:
