Thought I would brighten up the front end of my Firestorm by fitting some daylight running lights. I bought some led indicator mirrors and removed the yellow leds, had them replaced with high intensity led's, fitted a seperate switch and hey presto if they cant hear me coming they are going to see me ! Also fitted a high output led board to the standard day running light.

I havent noticed it so far, but if they start I will need to mount them on the standard mirror mount which should sort it.

best lamp ive found so far for the day lamp instead of leds (whic aren't really that bright) is a 25w 12v halogen bulb meant for use in mini low voltage spotlights, like the sunken ones you have in the kitchen etc...
they runn pretty cool, are bright as crouton & are a fiver for 2 in b&q.
tried a few different types of superbright led and theyre poo.
you cant hardly see them from a distance and they look dim compared to the headlight.

try them - you will be surprised
