Thanks Duffy, it's 1000cc less than the KTM, but I have a feeling it will be a lot more fun!

You have got the bike looking good, home the MOT goes ok, then get out there and rag it senseless. :D
Cheers Al, I've just got to find some off road buddies to share the thrills and spills with now Image

join the TRF as a starting point for all your local Green lanes, and that will get you involved with the local group and any rides they do.

You're right, perhaps we need a code word for l*be just in case Lloydie gets a little too excited Image

It has matching wheels Al but I’m waiting for new discs to arrive. Just stuck a spare on for mot.

Don’t worry I’m not following Fabio I don’t like Harleys

Hi Mac,

Ive stripped the bike down and there is bend on the rod, picture isn't clear. I'll continue to investigate and let you know how it's looking, it's looking costly Image

Yep thats ferked...

Choice is either to strip & rebuild or replace the head compleat...

Radical move would be to swap whole motor...
On a scale of 1 to 5, how difficult is it to source and replace head?

Cheers for confirming its knocked pal.

Hi guys. Update on the front end repair!
Been phoning every bike mechanic near me and not one of them wants to take on the job, too big!!
So I have two options, sell it as it is on eBay or break it down and sell everything separately. The 3rd is to option is to try and repair myself, I don't have the time or skills.

What do you think guys?

Where are you? It's an easy enough repair, just pull the head off, replace two inlet valves, fit new head gasket, retime cams, she m and reassemble. Unless the guides are damaged, that is, they're almost always ok, but it's worth checking. It's a day's work tops, but swapping a head is easier- if you can find one...

Ok... Firstly lets us know where your based/located someone near might be able to help with doing the job.

Secondly if you go down the breaking it up route the engine is the bit that will get you most dosh but as it's fercked it wont so repair is the best bet...

Braking it up takes time & you will be left with bits you cant sell straight away so will be hanging on to them...I've broken three up & have ended up giving two of the frames away.

Thirdly if you go down the e-bay route to sell as is your gonna take a big hit in the pocket on what it owes you dont expect much more than £500 for it IMO...Plus you'll be paying the bay fees out of that...

As Tony said it's not a hard job to do, price up the parts add labour & go from there...

Finding a replacement head would be the way to go...You just need to know where to look...

The most important thaing here is letting us know where you are. so some one local can offer help.
