Was down in a bike shop today and spied a nice Firestorm, yellow with the silver bellypan, dual Scorpions.
The engine shat itself, previous owner neglected the cam chain tensioners. There's a new engine going into her, apparently it's perfect.
I need something bigger than the SV, it's great fun but I'm just too big for it, motorways kill me trying to hold on.
Supposedly it'll be going for ~1600 after the engine transplant and a good clean, what yiz think folks? A good step up from an SV?

Welcome to here. Good luck getting the storm. There was one on Egay not so long ago just north of the border somewhere. Stunning looking one, White custom paint with purple decals. I had a sex wee looking at it.
Good luck with the storm though. you'll love it!

Been a while since I made this thread
Ended up replacing the engine and selling the SV, and have moved over to the UK.
Test rode a Firestorm at the weekend and loved it, and have just bought this on ebay:

clean looking bike mate, not sure if you need to do the cct they might be the originals, it's hard to say from the pictures, looks like all you need to do is sort out the front mudguard and its a very clean bike, welcome aboard buddy..........

welcoem to teh club, and bike l;ooks good.........I had spotted it on e-bay and was amazed that with a spare mudgaurd that he claims in the advert that he even showed photos of damage, it would have put me off if I was buying, and it could have been avoided by fitting the new one!
clearly has a very course pebble dashing on his wall
