G'Day fellas,
Here's a coupla pics of my Pride and Joy, well both of them actually, but we'll concentrate on the older of the two.
It's a 1999 model that I've had for two years, its got 38,000km on the clock, but it's about 10% high I could do the math, but I won't.
It had the Maxx carbon exhausts on it when I bought it, as well as K&N Air Filter. I assume it was jetted to suit. It also had a broken CCT and was not running at the time of purchase, and, thanks to your good selves and the Superhawk forum, I took a chance and bought it as is. I changed both CCT's and fitted a 3mm spacer on the rear shock, put it all back together, hit the go button and got dirt in my hair from my shed roof. I was grinnin' from ear to ear and I still do every time I fire her up.
I have since added a little bling in the form of integrated LED indicators/Tail Light and Indicators/Mirrors, as well as a fibreglass Rear hugger, took to the rear guard with a Dremmel, added HEL Braided Brake Lines and Chinese "Pazzos". The Braided Lines are a MUST DO for all Stormers the improvement was far beyond my expectations. Next "mod" for want of a better word, was the fuel cap. One day I got a little over zealous with the cutting polish and the dull silver became dull blotchy grey...
My options wre, keep polishing, respray, or replace. i took the first option and after several hours, the alloy beneath was shining nicely. It tarnishes a little after a while, but buffs up nicely with little effort. The Stock steering head nut with its tacky rubber cap were also replaced with a nice alloy job to improve the bling factor. Recently I fitted 90KG/mm Race Tech Linear Springs and increased the rear Spacer to 6mm with excellent results.
Next on my hit list is a Timing advancer........then .............................It just goes on and on doesn't it.
